I had my final thesis review yesterday where I presented my short film and demo reel. It went pretty well.

I am officially graduated with an MFA in Traditional Animation!

These are some of the early character designs and concept drawing I did for "Freaker's Ball"...









Click the image below to see the final model sheets of all the characters. I did these final designs based on the concept art that everyone produced and tried to unify the style of all the characters while tailoring the designs for animation.

Finally got some work done on the dialog. I haven't been able to work on it much lately, with my final review coming up next week and all. But it's getting there.

Workshops

It's the last week of workshops so I'm trying to go to as many as I can. Who's with me?!

Here's a collection of random workshop drawings. Mostly 1 to 3 min poses from "Quick Studies" and "Drawing for Animators". There's a couple longer poses from Bill Sanchez's workshop.

I used to draw a lot more with charcoal on large newsprint, but lately I've just been drawing in my small sketchbooks. I guess they're more portable, but I miss drawing big!
