Thumbnails and Lord Lars

These are a bunch of thumbnails that I did my first week at Fabrica back in October. Unfortunately that's about all I can show from that project, so enjoy!

My friend Lars from Australia asked me to draw him as an English lord, so after much procrastination, I finally did. I'm quite happy with the result.

Happy Holidays!!

Sweet jumping frijoles!!

These thumbnails rock! I especially love the exploration of the silhouettes in the first four rows and last four rows. I'm not so clear on the middle/girl rows yet. But nevertheless, cool stuff!

Lord Lars cracks me up!

I like the big guys at the bottom of the page. They all have a great lumbering feel to them. The little girls of the first four rows are great too - It's funny how almost all of your characters tend to have thin legs - gives them that 'European' design ascetic.

I've been trying to figure out how to do something like Lord Lars. So do you just paint in the shapes then? I've been trying to figure out a good method for creating a more graphic image. Cool pic....you jerk.
